Our criminal defence lawyers represented a young Singaporean charged under Section 417 read with Section 109 of the Penal Code and Section 3(1) read with Section 12 of the Computer Misuse Act, offences that could have resulted in inevitable imprisonment if the matter had proceeded to sentencing. The case arose against a background of significant personal hardship, including the absence of his biological father and the sudden loss of his mother during his formative years.

Through carefully prepared legal representations, we presented the Prosecution with a balanced and comprehensive account of our client’s circumstances. After considering these mitigating factors, the Prosecution exercised its discretion to withdraw the charges and issued a  conditional warning instead. This outcome allowed our client to move forward without a criminal record, while remaining accountable under the warning regime. The client was grateful gave the following review on Singapore Legal Advice:

“Thank you Ray Louis Law, Mr Louis was patient and empathetic and walked me through the whole legal process. He was understanding and empathetic towards my situation and I am deeply thankful for his services. Once again I would like to convey my appreciation for Mr Louis as well as his team for their hard work. Thank you so much.”
