Long Marriage Divorce Case – Successful Settlement at Mediation

Our client was married for almost 50 years when the marriage unfortunately broke down due to the husband’s adultery. Given the length of the marriage and the complexity of the issues involved, the case carried significant emotional and financial implications.

Importantly, we also sucessfully negotiated a unique maintenance order— a fixed monthly maintenance sum payable for life, structured in a way that cannot be varied. This provided the client with long-term financial certainty and peace of mind, an outcome that is not commonly achieved and required careful negotiation.
